If your son was having cardiac arrest would emergency take that seriously? This country needs to understand that mental illness is NOT a choice. Just like any other life threatening emergency such is a suicide attempt, it is similar to a cardiac arrest.

Just because someone didn’t die immediately does not mean a person, a human being, is not in an emergency state of medical attention be that in a city or a country of Australia. Unless Australia starts taking mental illness seriously we are all in a state of denial, guilt, blame and embarrassment of a muscle called the brain!
